M 1 (crab nebula) in Taurus

  • Exposure time : 340 min (70min L, 120 min H-alpha and 150 min OIII, 15 min individual images)
  • Date and Time : 2. January 2006 and 8. November 2005
  • Instrument : 40cm @ f/8
  • Focal length : 3260 mm
  • FWHM : about 3 arcsec
  • Filters : Astronomik luminance, 6nm H-alpha and 13nm OIII filter
  • Image processing : Imageplus (DDP, Star size) and Photoshop (Noise reduction, RGB combination), Registar
  • Problems/comments : It is a LRGB = Lum:H-a:OIII:OIII combination in Photoshop. Imaged at my backyard, Mol, Belgium.
