Namibia 2007
Gallery
In June 2007 I was for the fourth time in Namibia. As I am a member of the International Amateur Observatory
(IAS, see the banner on my intro page) I was staying at the farm Hakos,
about 130 km south west of Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. Although my
fourth time under the southern sky at a very, very dark place, I am still very
much impressed about the splendid view of the Milky Way, its brightness and structure,
as well as the Small and Large Magellanic Clouds. In the following a collection of images
taken with two scopes, a 20 inch f/3 Hypergraph and a 140mm f/7 TEC Apochromatic refractor.
All the images are taken either with a STL11000XM or ST10XME CCD camera. Also some digital imaging was done using a Hutech modified Canon 20D.
