Namibia Gallery

In August 2004 I was for the second time in Namibia. As I am a member of the International Amateur Observatory (IAS, see the banner on my intro page) I was staying at the farm Hakos, about 130 km north east of Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. Although my second time under the southern sky at a very, very dark place, I am still very much impressed about the splendid view of the Milky Way, its brightness and structure, as well as the Small and Large Magellanic Clouds. In the following a collection of images taken either through a Takahasi FSQ106 f/5 refractor or a 200mm f/2.8 Canon telelens. All the images are taken with a STL11000XM CCD camera.
