Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) in Doradus and Mensa

  • Exposure time : 2x (30:30:30) min RGB (10 min individual exposures)
  • Date and Time : 13, 14, 19, 20.08.2004
  • Instrument : Takahashi FSQ 106 f/5
  • Focal length : 530 mm
  • FWHM :
  • Filters : Astronomik RGB filters
  • Image processing : avaerage combine, darks, flat
  • Problems/comments : Further processing in Imageplus (RGB combine, DDP). Two pane mosaic made with Panorama Maker V3. Further processing afterwards in Photoshop (mainly contrast and color adjustment). Actually I would have needed a four pane mosaic since the LMC is so big at 530mm FL.
