My Astro Software

The list below contains astronomy related software that I use:

AIP4WIN is software for astronomical image processing. It is included in the book "The handbook of astronomical image processing" by Richard Berry & James Burnell.
Registax 2 is a freeware tool for alignment, stacking and processing of BMP,JPEG, FITS or AVI image sequences. A tutorial how to use this software can be found here.
K3CDDTools is free software for capturing and processing astronomy pictures using a webcam.
Starry Night PRO is a very nice commercial desktop planetarium.
Mars Previewer II is a handy utility for Mars watchers.
Virtual Moon Atlas allows you to view the lunar globe in real time, in 2D or 3D and to study lunar formations.
Astroplanner is a software application for Macintosh and Windows computers that facilitates astronomical visual observation planning and logging as well as control of Meade telescopes that use the LX200, LX200GPS or Autostar controllers, Celestron NexStar scopes, Astro-Physics GTO mounts, and the Vixen SkySensor 2000 system as well. I use only the planning and logging capebilities.
