COMET 1999S4 LINEAR

My only image of Comet 1999S4 Linear, captured from my backyard in Oostduinkerke, Belgium. We had a very bad month of July 2000 with almost three weeks of clouds, rain, and cold for the season. Initially the comet was too low in the sky to be observed well from my observatory but as the comet sped further to the west and was near its optimum, I could finally try to image this comet with my "new" CCD camera : my ST-7 was upgraded in May 2000 to a ST-8ABG (non-E class 1 chip). The telescope used was my Lichtenknecker Flat Field Camera 190/200/760. The image consists of 8 co-added images for a total exposure of 420 seconds. It was my first "usable" image with the ST-8 after I got the camera back from SBIG.
