Comet Linear C/2001 A2.

A nice naked eye object for those living much more southerly than I, so the best show was long gone when I could image it from Belgium.

For this LRGB image I used my Takahashi CN212 in Newton configuration (f/3.9) + SBIG ST-8 and CFW8. The Alt AD7 mount was tracking the comet through programming of the Astro Electronic FS2 drive corrector.

The luminance image was made by adding 10 exposures of 5 minutes each, CCD temperature -10° C (+20° C ambient), no binning, DDP filter applied.

The colour images were made in 2x2 binning, 5 minutes for red and green, 10 minutes for blue.

The bright star is 1 Pegasi.
