M101

A wide field image of M101 (close-up further down the page). Made with my SBIG STL-4020 and Canon EF L 300mm lens. The image is 50% size, no 100% size link is given as the focus was a little off on some of the images. Exposures were 2x15m for each Astronomik LRGB filter.

 


23-24 March 2009, Verclause (South-France), TMB115 f/7 + SBIG STL-4020, 5 x 10 each for LRGB.

 


6-7/04/2000, Takahashi E-160 + ST-7, one exposure of 15 m + one of 30 m, selfguided. The faint galaxy to the right is NGC5477.


18/03/1999, Lichtenknecker Optics Flat Field Camera 190/200/760 and ST-7a. Sum of 2 x 30 m selfguided exposures.
