Comet 2009 K5 McNaught

This image was made on the evening of 4-5 June 2010 with my TEC140 refractor and SBIG STL-11000M camera. We approached the summer solstice, it never gets really dark in this period, the comet was situated in the northern part of the sky. So the imaging session was started with some dusk light remaining in the northwest. 20 images in each color were taken to make this RGB image. The image is a cropped part of the larger STL-11K field. The telescope tracked the stars, no correction was made for the relatively slow movement of the comet between the stars.
