Moon Images 2002.
29 and 30 September 2002, 01 October 2002
The images were made early in the morning with reasonable seeing. On the first october, only one image could be made due to fog. I used my Philips ToUcam Pro webcam on my Celestron 14. Each avi film was 30 seconds at 3 frames per second. For some images, more than one avi film was made. The best single images were selected from each film using Avi2Bmp. RegiStax was used to align and stack 5 to 10 frames out these best images of each series to form the images used for processing.
Final image processing was done in Photoshop to show as much detail as possible while still giving a pleasing image.

Images made during bad seeing at the focus of a 820 mm focal length Takahashi FS-102 refractor with my Philips ToUcam Pro webcam.
24 March 2002 : The Coloured Moon.
The images made on the evening of 24 March showed subtle colour and many different shades of grey on the surface of the Moon. For the almost full illuminated disk image, I tried a Takahashi FS-60C fluorite refractor (FL 355 mm) with my Philips ToUcam Pro webcam for the following image (136 Kb) :
