Techniques.
Imaging the Moon is easy. Well, sort of! There are many possibilities:
make pictures in prime focus on film showing the different faces of the Moon; remember that 1000 mm of focal length will give you a prime focus Moon image of about 10 mm on film or other sensor.
make pictures using barlow or eyepiece projection to isolate more detail.
use an off-the-shelf digital still or video camera, hold of fix it up behind an eyepiece and make pictures that way (see image below).
use a "real" CCD camera for detailed images.
use a webcam that can give excellent results even with smaller telescopes.
There is one very important factor: the quality of the seeing. If turbulence is high, don't image!
