Rosette Nebula.

15 February 2002, evening. 400 mm f/5.6 Sigma Apo.

I took 9 images, each of 10 minutes selfguided, with a Wratten 29 + infrared rejection filter and 1x1 binning. Target was the Rosette nebula in Monoceros, one image of 9 could not be used because I bumped into the telescope during the third exposure, Duh!

I also made RGB images at 2x2 binning, R = 10 minutes, G =10 minutes and B = 20 minutes and combined these with the above image to make a 80:10:10:20 RRGB image. The RGB images could have had more exposure time and focussing of the RGB images was a bit off, because I had not refocussed after using the Wratten 29 + IRR filter.

10/01/1999. Dark globules in the Rosette nebula. Lichtenknecker Optics Flat Field Camera 190/200/760. Sum of two 30 m selfguided exposures.
