6 May 2005.

Using a Coronado SM60 + BF15 + ToUcam II (modified B&W chip) on a Vixen ED80S refractor, I made this animated GIF showing changes in the vicinity of a prominence in a 2 hour period. The animation consists of 24 images taken at 4 minutes interval between 13 and 15 o'clock UT. The ToUcam avi files were recorded in K3CCD, registered and stacked in Registax V3 and further processed in Photoshop and ImageReady. The animated GIF is 372 kB, give it some time to load completely.

Normally I would have cropped the animation but at some moment during the animation, two "sprites" burst from the surface and these would have been lost if I cropped the images, so the animation is "jumping around" a little.
