hetverschil

So what's the difference between imaging in The Netherlands (left) and in Nerpio? Same scope, a 30 cm newton. Differences: left F=1590mm, ST-10XME camera, 1.5 hour exposure. Right in Nerpio: F=1200mm, ST-8300 and 1 hour. The right one is by far superior: more stars, sharper and more vivid colours; even with less exposure, shorter focus and certainly not better deepsky camera. The SQML left was about 20.4 and at right at least 21.4, which makes all the difference! And the number of nights we can use in Nerpio is tenfold of that of in the Netherlands.
