Jupiter 2003

30 March 2003.

The series of images below was made with my Celestron 14, Televue Big Barlow and Philips webcam. Seeing was 7 to 5 on the Pickering scale, but there was a gusty wind.

For each image an AVI file of 180 frames was made at 3 fps, registered and stacked in RegiStax. Image processing was in Picture Window and Adobe Photoshop.

24 January 2003.

The series of images below was made with my Celestron 14, Televue Big Barlow and Philips webcam.

Seeing was 7 to 5 on the Pickering scale, deteriorating near the end of the session.

For each image an AVI file of 180 frames was made at 3 fps.

Image processing was in Picture Window and Adobe Photoshop.

The two images below were made on 24 January 2003 with a Celestron 9.25, 1.8x Televue barlow and Philips ToUcam webcam.

Seeing was 5 to 7 on the Pickering scale.

For each image, an AVI file of 180 images was made at 3 fps. A selection of the best images was stacked in RegiStax.

Image processing was with Picture Window and Adobe Photoshop.

The series of images below were made on 16 January 2003 with my Celestron 14 and Philips ToUcam webcam. A Televue 1.8x barlow was used.

Seeing was about 5/10 on the Pickering scale.

For each image, an AVI file of 180 frames was made at 3 fps. A selection of the best frames was stacked with RegiStax.

Image processing was in Adobe Photoshop.
