Comet C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE)  -  The Sky Live

Comet C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE):  Joseph Masiero, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, reports the discovery of a comet in infrared images obtained with the Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (or NEOWISE; formerly the WISE earth-orbiting satellite; cf. CBET 4225).  There are clear signs of cometary activity in the 4.6-micron bands, with extended features that are approximately circular and roughly 0'.8 in diameter.  The comet was also detected in the NEOWISE 3.4- micron band, but signs of activity are significantly weaker in that band.
