Discovery:  [ CBET 5167 : 20220907 : COMET C/2022 Q2 (ATLAS)]


     A. Aletti and L. Buzzi report cometary activity of a NEOCP object -- first observed by ATLAS-MLO (T08) on Aug. 27 UT -- in 59 stacked 60-second follow-up images taken on Aug. 28 UT at Schiaparelli Southern Observatory (M21), noting a condensed 5" coma and a straight 10" tail at position angle 265 deg.
