Discovery:

IAUC 9108: COMET P/2010 A5 (LINEAR)

An apparently asteroidal object of 20th magnitude discovered by LINEAR with the 1.0- m reflector on January 14.45 was found to show a cometary appearance by other astrometrists, including Rolando Ligustri, Ernesto Guido and Giovanni Sostero. The comet has a period of 11.5 years, with perihelion at 1.7 AU in April 2010.  See also MPEC 2010-D89 : COMET P/2010 A5 (LINEAR)

Recovery:

ncidental astrometry taken 2020 Dec. 23 UT by Pan-STARRS 2 (F52) have been identified by the MPC as a recovery of comet P/2010 A5.  It was also detected by Pan-STARRS 1 (F51) and Mount Lemmon Survey (G96) several weeks later.. [CBET 4928, MPEC 2021-B140, 2021 January 29]
