Comet C/2009 U5 (GRAUER)

Discovery: [ IAUC 9088 ]

Al D Grauer discovered a 19th magnitude comet on survey images taken with the Mt Lemmon 1.5-m reflector on October 23.46. The preliminary orbit gave perihelion at 0.6 AU in 2010 August, however it proved to be a more distant object. The comet is at perihelion at 6.1 AU in 2010 June.  See also MPEC 2009-Y42
