Comet C/2009 Y1 (CATALINA)
Discovery: [ IAUC 9102 ]
A 19th magnitude object discovered by the Catalina Sky Survey with the 0.68m Schmidt on December 17.51 and reported by Rik Hill, was found to show cometary features by other observers. The comet reached perihelion at 2.5 AU in 2011 January and has a very long period retrograde orbit.. See also: MPEC 2010-
