Discovery:  CBET 3495   MPEC 2013-H45

Andrea Boattini discovered an 18th magnitude comet on 2013 April 22.45 during the course of the Catalina Sky Survey with the 0.68-m Schmidt.  The preliminary MPEC orbit suggested that the comet was at perihelion at 2.5 au in 2011 March and had a period of 36.5 years. This was based on a three day arc.  Not surprisingly the latest orbit gives something completely different - a hyperbolic orbit with perihelion at 7.5 au in 2014 January.
