Discovery:  [CBET 5394:  COMET C/2024 J2]

     K. W. Wierzchos reports the discovery of a comet in survey images taken by Mt. Lemmon Survey (G96) on May 11 UT, noting a condensed 5" coma and a broad 7" tail at position angle 220 - 250 deg. Prediscovery positions were reported back to Mar. 2024. Additional reports of cometary features are as follows:
