CBET 4780: COMET P/2019 LD_2 (ATLAS)

     An apparently asteroidal object temporarily in a Jupiter-Trojan-like orbit that was discovered on CCD images taken on 2019 June 10.4 UT with a 0.5-m f/2 Wright Schmidt reflector at Mauna Loa, Hawaii, in the course of the "Asteroid Terrestrial-Impact Last Alert System" (ATLAS) search program has been found to show cometary appearance by both the ATLAS team and via CCD observations made elsewhere.  The object was given the minor-planet designation 2019 LD_2 when the initial astrometry was published on MPS 1001520.
