Photometry obtained with FOCAS-II software:

An object mentioned on the PCCP of the minorplanetcenter could be observeb by myself with my Orion Optics 0.4-m f/3.8 newton telescope in my backyard (MPC B96) on 2024 jan. 9.91 UT .   35 stacked unfiltered exposures of 120 sec. each  reveals some cometary features like a central condensation with a coma of 12 arsec and a short broad tail in p.a. of 255 degr. and 13 arsec long. Later was this object assigned as comet P/2023 Y3 (ATLAS) with CBET 5338 published on 2024 jan. 27.
